What a fantastic night at the Imperial Hotel Blackpool celebrating Steph & Joseph – the new Mr & Mrs Thorpe!
I was delighted to provide the wedding DJ and evening entertainment for their intimate wedding reception in the hotel’s lovely Louis Room.
The Louis Room is a great space for smaller weddings at the Imperial Hotel, creating a more intimate atmosphere while still giving you plenty of opportunity to get the party going once the evening reception gets underway.
And this one certainly did!
Wedding DJ at the Imperial Hotel Blackpool
The Imperial Hotel Blackpool is a venue I know extremely well, having provided wedding DJs and entertainment there for many years.
I’m proud to be the supplier of DJs and entertainment for most of the hotel’s weddings and events, which means I regularly get to work in the different function rooms and understand how to create the right atmosphere for everything from intimate wedding receptions to much larger celebrations.
That experience is a real advantage when you’re planning your wedding entertainment.
I know the venue, I know the rooms and, most importantly, I know how to get a Blackpool wedding crowd up dancing!
Father of the Bride & First Dance
Before Steph & Joseph’s first dance, I invited the father of the bride to dance with his daughter to the beautiful Heaven Must Have Sent You.
It was a lovely moment before I handed the dance floor over to Joseph for the newlyweds’ first dance, Flying Without Wings by Westlife.
Steph & Joseph had also hired my confetti gun, and I fired it halfway through their first dance to create an amazing burst of confetti around the happy couple.
It made for a fantastic first-dance moment — and then it was time to get everyone else involved…
And from there…
It was party time!
A Packed Dance Floor at the Imperial Hotel
Once the guests were up, we really got the evening moving.
Current dance-floor bangers such as HUGEL – Movin’ To The Sun helped keep the energy high, alongside a great mixture of Clubland, house, soul and Motown.
That’s one of the things I love about wedding DJing — bringing together different generations and musical tastes and finding the songs that work for the people in the room.
For Steph & Joseph, we had everything from modern dance tracks through to classic soul and Motown favourites, with plenty of requests and dance-floor favourites along the way.
The result?
A packed dance floor and a brilliant atmosphere right through to the end of the night.
And what better way to finish a Blackpool wedding than with a big Oasis finale!
