What a top night at the Lancaster House Hotel in Lancaster as I provided the wedding DJ entertainment for the evening reception of Jodie & Jack – Mr & Mrs Graham!

The Lancaster House Hotel is a fantastic wedding venue in Lancaster, and I was delighted to be back providing the music and getting the evening reception underway for this lovely couple.

Cake Cut & First Dance at Lancaster House Hotel

We kicked off the evening in style with the cake cut, before going straight into Jodie & Jack’s first dance, Dandelion by Ruth B.

It was a lovely moment as the newlyweds took to the dance floor together, and then, part way through the song, I invited their family and friends to join them.

And that was it — party mode activated!

Once everyone was up dancing, the dance floor really started to come alive, and we were off for the rest of the evening.

A Personalised Wedding Playlist

One of the things I always love about being a wedding DJ is creating a soundtrack that feels personal to the couple.

Before the wedding, Jodie sent me over a playlist featuring a brilliant mix of disco, party favourites and indie/rock, which worked an absolute treat on the night.

That gave me a great musical starting point, and I was able to read the dance floor, take requests and mix the different styles together to keep the party moving.

From disco classics and big party tracks through to indie and rock favourites, it was a great combination for a wedding crowd — and the packed dance floor certainly showed that the music was hitting the mark!
