Planning a surprise party is never easy, but when it all comes together… WOW! Sara’s surprise 50th birthday party at St Teresa’s Social Centre in Penwortham was an absolute belter and a perfect example of why I love providing DJ services for private parties across Lancashire and the North West.

From Work Event to Birthday Party Booking

Sara’s husband, Stuart, originally got in touch after attending a work event where Andy B Events provided the entertainment. He enjoyed it so much that when it came time to organise something special for Sara’s 50th, he knew exactly who to call.

After chatting through ideas, Stuart booked a full entertainment package including:

The Big Surprise

The moment of the night? Easy.

Stuart brought Sara into the venue blindfolded. She knew something was going on… but she definitely wasn’t expecting over 100 friends and family waiting inside ready to shout surprise!

As soon as the blindfold came off and the surprise was revealed, the room absolutely erupted. A proper goosebumps moment.

Fun Casino & Photo Booth – Perfect Ice Breakers

Straight after the surprise, we opened up the fun casino tables and photo booth, and this is where the magic really started.

The casino hire was ideal for the early evening — guests mixing, laughing, and getting competitive around the Blackjack, Roulette and Wheel of Fortune tables. It’s such a great way to get everyone involved, especially when you’ve got different age groups and friendship circles.

Meanwhile, the photo booth was busy from start to finish, capturing some brilliant memories. Guests took home printed photos on the night, and Sara now has a guest book packed with messages and photos to keep forever — always a lovely touch for milestone birthdays.

Food was served at around 8:30pm, giving everyone chance to recharge, and then around 9pm it was time for me to ramp things up behind the decks.

Once the dancefloor opened, the guests were more than ready. From party classics to floor-fillers, the atmosphere was unreal and the dancefloor stayed busy right through the night.
