Saturday night was another brilliant one at Stirk House, one of my absolute favourite venues in Lancashire! I was delighted to be back there once again, this time celebrating with the new Mr & Mrs Stanworth – Emily & Dan. They hired me, Andy B, to provide my wedding DJ services along with my enhanced lighting setup for their evening reception from 7 pm through until midnight… and what a fantastic night it was!
The First Dance – How Long Will I Love You by The Waterboys
After guests had gathered round the dance floor, I introduced Emily & Dan into the room to perform their first dance as husband and wife. Their chosen song, How Long Will I Love You by The Waterboys, created the perfect romantic atmosphere. Halfway through, I invited everyone to join them on the dance floor — and that’s when the real party began!
As a little surprise, the mother of the bride & 2 of Emily’s aunties, did a Mamma Mia style routine to Dancing Queen!
The Playlist – Something for Everyone
Beforehand, Emily & Dan had sent me a fantastic playlist that mixed fresh hits from artists like Chappell Roan with timeless favourites from ABBA and plenty of crowd-pleasers in between. It was the ideal blend to keep the dance floor buzzing all evening, with guests of all ages singing, dancing, and smiling from start to finish.

Live Music and Lighting Magic
Adding to the evening’s energy, the couple had also booked a live Irish band who played an awesome set of foot-stomping favourites. Once they’d finished, I took over to keep the momentum going, filling the room with colour from my enhanced lighting rig and continuing the celebrations right through to the end of the night.
