Last night I had the pleasure of providing my wedding DJ and hosting services at the Clifton Arms Hotel in Lytham for the amazing evening reception of Mr & Mrs Singleton – Emma & Si. I absolutely love playing at the Clifton Arms – it’s a stunning wedding venue right in the heart of Lytham, overlooking the Ribble Estuary, and it never fails to provide the perfect backdrop for an incredible wedding party.
Alongside my DJ sets, the couple also booked one of our sparkling, high-energy female freestyle saxophonists to perform three live sessions throughout the night. This combination of DJ and saxophone always takes things to the next level – and last night the dance floor absolutely went off!
Emma & Si chose their first dance song literally minutes before stepping onto the floor – and what a belter they picked: “Stargazing” by Myles Smith. I gathered their guests around the edge of the dance floor, introduced the happy couple for their cake cut, and then straight into the first dance. Halfway through, I invited the guests to join them, and the atmosphere was electric.

From there, we kicked straight into the first live sax set, starting with the anthem “Jubel” – the sound of live sax over that track was unreal.
We then launched into some 90s dance bangers like “Freed From Desire” – and suddenly we had hands in the air, packed dance floors, and a party vibe that had everyone buzzing. The mix of wedding classics, 90s dance, party anthems, and current favourites with the freestyle sax ripping over the top created unforgettable moments all night long.
The dance floor stayed full right up until the midnight finale. For the last big singalong, I dropped Oasis’ “Don’t Look Back in Anger”, before closing the night in style by playing Emma & Si out to “Stargazing” one more time. An epic wedding party from start to finish – and a night that no one wanted to end!
