Last night I had the absolute pleasure of providing my wedding DJ services at the Clifton Arms Hotel in Lytham for the evening reception of the brand new Mr & Mrs Sumner – Laura & Ric. The Clifton Arms is such a lovely spot for a wedding celebration, right by the sea in the heart of Lytham, and it really was the perfect setting for an unforgettable night.

Once the guests were gathered in the room, I introduced the happy couple onto the dance floor for their cake cut and first dance. But before the first dance began, I had something very special lined up…

I invited the father of the bride, Peter, to dance with his daughter, the beautiful bride Laura. It was a wonderful father-daughter moment. Then, to add an extra emotional touch, I helped their daughter Ellie invite Ric (the groom) to join them. This thoughtful surprise had so many of the guests in tears – a truly unforgettable moment for the family.

After that, it was time for Laura & Ric’s official first dance. They had chosen a gorgeous cover of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Jennifer Owens. Halfway through, I encouraged guests to join the couple on the floor

from that point on, it was party time!

The rest of the evening was a mix of wedding classics, 90’s dance anthems, pop rock singalongs, party favourites, and current chart hits, which kept everyone dancing right through until midnight. To finish the night in style, I closed the party with Oasis’ “Don’t Look Back in Anger” for a huge singalong, before playing the couple out with “Can’t Help Falling in Love” one more time.

It really was a beautiful night filled with laughter, love, and amazing memories. A huge congratulations to Laura & Ric – thank you for letting me be part of your special day at the Clifton Arms Hotel, Lytham.
