Kaz & Nicky’s wedding at the stunning Beeston Manor was one of those unforgettable events that I’m truly honoured to have been a part of. From the moment they touched down—yes, literally touched down—in a helicopter after their church ceremony, I knew we were in for something special.
They chose a twilight wedding, which meant the celebration kicked off later in the day and rolled straight into the night. I was hired to start from 5pm, hosting the wedding breakfast and then keeping the energy flowing right through to the evening reception. These are the kind of bookings I love—where I can really set the tone, help shape the atmosphere, and carry the couple and their guests through each chapter of their day.
Hosting with Heart
From the minute Kaz & Nicky walked into Beeston Manor, their excitement was contagious. I provided full hosting for the wedding breakfast, making sure the transitions between courses, speeches, and toasts all felt natural and upbeat. We had laughter, emotional moments, and a buzzing vibe in the room—it was exactly the kind of energy they wanted.
The happy couple felt that I’d be best left set up in the main woodland room for the evening rather than move into the conservatory, this works well to create a beautiful intimate atmosphere…
First Dance Magic
As the sun began to set over the Lancashire countryside, we moved into the first dance. They chose the absolute 80s powerhouse “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” by Starship—a song that captures pure, feel-good romance. Watching them dance under the lights while their friends and family gathered around was something special.
Music That Hit Every Note
Nicky had sent me a playlist in the run-up to the big day—an awesome mix of genres with one specific request: bring the R&B vibes from the early 2000s to 2012. We’re talking Usher, Alicia Keys, Ne-Yo, Ashanti, Mario, and more. These tracks always go down a storm and were the perfect fit for their crowd.
Add in a few curveballs from their custom list—some dancefloor classics, throwback pop, and party anthems—and we had an incredible soundtrack for the night. From start to finish, the energy was high & everyone from the little kids to the grandparents—had their moment.
