22nd June ’13 – Hired to provide my wedding DJ services for Mr & Mrs Macadam’s big day at the very nice Soughton Hall. As well as the main hall, this fab Flintshire wedding venue also has a permanent marquee in the grounds round the back which is where we were celebrating on this occasion.
We started the evening reception at 7.30pm with warm up music from me, then approx. 8pm I gathered guests around the dance floor ready for the first dance which was performed to Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell ‘Ain’t no mountain high enough’. After this, we had live music from a local Ceilidh band who did a great job at keeping everyone dancing throughout their set which was approx. 90 mins long.
Buffet wasn’t quite ready (hog roast) so I had time to squeeze in ‘Get lucky’ & ‘Blurred lines’ which were the 2 big dance floor fillers of June! (& they didn’t let me down for this wedding party either!).
After food, we had the main disco through till 12.30am which is the cut off time at Soughton Hall. Alex (the groom) had sent me quite the substantial playlist which I got in as many as I could plus we had quite a few requests from guests on the night which kept the dance floor busy throughout, finishing with ‘Never Forget’, the bride’s choice I’m sure!
I managed to get a cheeky lil video clip of the ending –
All the very best to Mr & Mrs Macadam!
