11th & 18th May ’13 – Always a pleasure to be playing at Mytton Fold in the Langho area of Blackburn. I provided my wedding disco for 2 wedding parties there in May.
The first was Mr & Mrs Larkin in the smaller of the 2 function rooms at Mytton Fold. They booked me as their wedding DJ from 7.30pm till 1am. Their first dance was performed to ‘You & Me song’ from the Wannadies. Rebecca, the bride, also wanted to do a dance with her father which we did to ‘Moon River’. They gave me a few requests beforehand which included quite a mix from Erasure to Neil Diamond, Mcfly to Hanson(!), some 70’s & 80’s & hits from the Killers, Artics & Kings of Leon. They had invited 150 guests which is a lot for the smaller room, but ensured a great atmosphere throughout & a big finale! All the best Rebecca & Wayne!

‘Hi Andy,
Just wanted to say a big thank you for your help making our wedding day special. The guests enjoyed the music and were impressed with how quickly you put on their requests. You fit in all our requested songs, even though some of these were a bit dodgy! My dad enjoyed the Andy Williams version of Moon River! Once again a big thanks for your efforts, they were greatly appreciated.

Then on the 18th, I was playing in the main room at Mytton Fold for the wedding party of Mr & Mrs Cullis. As well as hiring myself as their wedding DJ, they also booked my good friend & wedding singer Paul Guard to perform throughout the wedding breakfast & an early evening set after the first dance. Their first dance was to Rihanna ‘Diamonds’, first time I’ve used this for a first dance, but it went well, complete with exploding balloon. Then Michael, the groom, wanted me to follow this up with Superman! Not something I’d play at a wedding party but the customer gets what he wants! In fairness, it went down really well, everyone got into the spirit of it!

After the buffet, we cranked up the main disco, Mytton Fold rocked to the likes of the 5ive megamix, Lets get ready to rhumble, cheesy 90’s, Dirty Dancing & some old skool Brothers & Sisters, Set you free, Show me love etc
