21st December 2012 – Last weekend Andy B Events were pleased to be supplying the Lindum Hotel in St Annes with DJ’s for their party nights on Friday & Saturday. I was the DJ for Friday night’s party. We had 2 schools staff parties, Mayfield Primary from St Annes & St Cuthbert’s from Blackpool as well as a private party. Altogether, we had around 70 guests which is quite a reasonable number for the size of their function room at this busy hotel on the sea front of St Annes.

Format was basically dinner & disco, although I did give them a Christmas quiz during dinner & a quick party game or 2 before we started up the main disco. Once we got started, the dance floor was pretty much full throughout the night. Lots of requests which I was happy to accommodate including Stones, Status Quo, Fleetwood Mac, Wanted, Westlife, Punjabi MC, Soul, Motown, Tina Turner, Wham!, Take That etc etc So, quite the mix of music! Of course, a big finale to New York New York & then the Pogues & they still wanted more! Unfortunately, we were out of time, squeezed in a last couple of numbers though! Great night!

The following night, we put DJ Stu in who followed a similar format to my night. Am told it was also a success. Had this from their operations manager – ‘…Both nights were fantastic, went really well, so please pass on my thanks to DJ Stu. We will be looking to take on a new DJ from now on to secure a regular act for our Christmas Party nights. Being quite a small hotel we do not have that many functions however we shall certainly be recommending you in the future’
