I’m DJ Andy B of Andy B Events, and I recently had the pleasure of providing the evening wedding entertainment for Daniel & Hajni, now the wonderful Mr & Mrs Santos, at the stunning Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa on the shores of Lake Windermere.

With just 12 guests, this was a wonderfully intimate wedding celebration in the Gallery Lounge. But what the party lacked in numbers, it certainly made up for in energy!
In fact, by the end of the night, nobody seemed particularly interested in leaving the dance floor!

Situated on the shores of Lake Windermere, Low Wood Bay is an incredible setting for a wedding celebration. With the lake and surrounding Lake District scenery providing such a spectacular backdrop, it’s easy to understand why couples travel from across the UK and further afield to celebrate their wedding here.
For me as a Windermere wedding DJ, it’s a real privilege to be part of weddings at such a beautiful location. Just 12 Guests – But What a Party!
Daniel & Hajni opted for a small and intimate wedding celebration with their closest family and friends.
There were just 12 guests in total.
Hajni is Hungarian and had some of her closest family there to celebrate with her, Daniel is Spanish, and there were also English friends joining the happy couple.
Three nationalities, different musical backgrounds and a very small dance floor…
Challenge accepted!
For me, this is exactly where having an experienced wedding DJ at Low Wood Bay can make such a difference. Rather than simply playing a generic wedding playlist, I worked closely with Hajni beforehand and used the music she provided as the foundation for the evening.
Then it was all about reading the room, responding to requests and knowing what to play next.
A Truly International Wedding Playlist
With three nationalities represented, we had plenty of scope for a fantastic mixture of music.
The evening included:

It was a brilliant mixture, and the fact that everyone was there to celebrate together made the atmosphere incredibly warm and personal.
One of my favourite things about being a Lake District wedding DJ is that no two weddings are ever the same. Daniel & Hajni’s wedding was a perfect example.
It wasn’t about trying to fill a huge ballroom.
It was about making sure those 12 people had the best possible night.
And judging by how much dancing was happening, I’d say we achieved that!
First Dance to Hungry Eyes from Dirty Dancing
Before we really got into party mode, there was a beautiful moment for Daniel & Hajni’s first dance.
They chose the iconic Hungry Eyes from Dirty Dancing.
It’s a brilliant choice for a first dance, with that instantly recognisable opening and nostalgic feel creating a lovely atmosphere for the newlyweds.
After their special moment together, it wasn’t long before the party continued and everyone was back on the dance floor.
