As a Lancashire wedding DJ, I’m fortunate enough to work at some incredible venues, and The Barn at Morleys is definitely one that stands out.
With its beautifully restored rustic barn, exclusive-use setting and relaxed countryside atmosphere, it’s the perfect venue for couples wanting a stylish yet informal wedding celebration. The character of the venue creates such a warm atmosphere, and once the evening party gets underway it’s a fantastic space for a busy dance floor.

A First Dance That Launched the Party
After gathering everyone around the dance floor, I introduced the newlyweds for their first dance as husband and wife.
Olivia & Callum chose the beautiful Joy of My Life by Chris Stapleton to begin the evening.
Rather than letting the song play all the way through, they had planned a seamless edit that perfectly reflected the type of party they wanted.
Part way through, the music switched into You Got The Love by Florence + The Machine before flowing straight into Man I Need by Olivia Dean.
What. A. Start.
The energy in the room instantly lifted, guests piled onto the dance floor, and from that moment onwards the party barely stopped.
It’s exactly the kind of first dance transition I love because it gets everyone involved straight away and sets the tone for an unforgettable evening.
Wedding Party Classics, Motown, R&B & Chart Anthems
Before the wedding, Olivia sent me a playlist featuring plenty of her favourite songs and the styles she wanted to hear throughout the evening.
As a professional Wedding DJ at The Barn at Morleys, I always encourage couples to send me their ideas beforehand so I can build a soundtrack that’s completely personal to them.
The evening featured a brilliant mix of:

Blending the couple’s favourite music with requests from family and friends kept the dance floor absolutely packed from beginning to end.
A Huge Double Finale
Every great wedding deserves an unforgettable finish, and Mr & Mrs Wilkinson’s celebration certainly delivered.
We brought everyone together for a huge singalong to Don’t Look Back In Anger by Oasis before launching into one final dance floor anthem with Forever by Chris Brown.
The perfect double finale to round off an absolutely epic wedding celebration.
