The Ring O Bells, Ormskirk – A Hidden Gem of a Lancashire Wedding Venue
As a Lancashire wedding DJ, I’m lucky enough to work at some wonderful venues, and The Ring O Bells in Ormskirk is certainly one of them.
Set in a beautiful location overlooking the canal, it’s a fantastic venue for couples looking for a relaxed yet stylish wedding celebration. On this particular day the weather couldn’t have been better, allowing guests to enjoy the sunshine outside before heading into the function room for an evening of great music and dancing.
It’s a venue I’d love to work at more often, and one I’d happily recommend to couples planning a wedding in Ormskirk, West Lancashire or the surrounding areas.
Enhanced Wedding DJ Setup
For their evening reception, Mr & Mrs Bradley chose one of my slightly enhanced wedding DJ packages.
Alongside my elegant DJ setup, I supplied two illuminated podiums complete with intelligent moving lights, adding an extra touch of impact to the room while maintaining a clean, stylish look that complemented the venue perfectly.
I always believe your entertainment should not only sound fantastic but also enhance the overall look of your wedding reception, and this setup looked superb in the Ring O Bells function suite.
Cake Cutting, Father & Daughter Dance & First Dance
Around an hour into the evening, it was time to gather everyone around for the evening’s formalities.
After inviting guests to surround the dance floor, I hosted the cake cutting before introducing a lovely father and daughter dance.
Aby shared this special moment with her dad to “Angel” by Aerosmith, creating one of those emotional memories that guests will remember for years to come.
Once father and daughter had enjoyed their dance together, it was time for the groom to step forward and join his new wife for their first dance as husband and wife.
They chose “Millionaire” by Chris Stapleton, a brilliant choice that perfectly reflected their personalities.
Halfway through the song, I invited family and friends onto the dance floor to join the happy couple, instantly filling the room and launching the evening party in style.
80s Classics, Soft Rock, Northern Soul & Disco
Before the wedding, Aby had sent me a playlist featuring some of her favourite music.
As a professional wedding DJ covering Ormskirk and Lancashire, I always encourage couples to send me their must-play songs so I can build the evening around their tastes.
The playlist included:
- 80s party classics
- Soft rock favourites
- Northern Soul floor-fillers
- Disco anthems
Blending these with guest requests and reading the dance floor throughout the evening ensured there was something for everyone, keeping guests dancing right through until the end of the night.
Another Fantastic Wedding in Ormskirk
This wedding had everything—a beautiful venue, fantastic weather, a lovely couple, brilliant music and a dance floor full of happy guests.
