The venue always creates an incredible setting for evening celebrations, and this wedding was no exception.

Twilight Wedding at Beeston Manor – Hosting from Start to Finish

Yvonne & David had planned a lovely twilight wedding at Beeston Manor, meaning once guests arrived into the Woodland Suite, the celebrations stayed there all evening rather than following the traditional daytime wedding format with a room turnaround.

The couple hired me from 5pm onwards to host the entire evening, helping everything flow smoothly from arrival right through to the packed dance floor later in the night.

Once all the guests were gathered, I introduced the newlyweds into the room with a big entrance to You Make My Dreams by Hall & Oates – a brilliant upbeat choice that instantly lifted the atmosphere in the room.

Wedding Breakfast Hosting & Speech Introductions

Following the entrance, it was time for the speeches, which I hosted and introduced throughout the evening.

The speeches came from:

Roger, the bride’s brother
David, the groom
Thomas, the best man

Once speeches concluded, I dropped the music down to a stylish background level while guests enjoyed their meal.

Cake Cut & First Dance – A Packed Dance Floor

After food, it was time to gather guests around the dance floor for the cake cutting before introducing Mr & Mrs Lewis for their first dance to Die With A Smile.

Part way through the song, I invited guests to join the happy couple on the dance floor, quickly filling it up and creating a fantastic atmosphere for the rest of the evening.

Yvonne & David had also chosen:

Let’s Dance by David Bowie

to follow immediately afterwards, which worked perfectly in building the energy early and keeping guests dancing from the very start.

Alongside taking requests throughout the evening, this allowed me to create a brilliant mix of music tailored specifically to the couple and their guests.
