Last month, I had the pleasure of once again providing entertainment for Stirk House, Gisburn, who ran two ticketed Christmas party nights on 5th and 13th December, open to guests from across Lancashire and beyond.

This marked the fourth year running that I’ve supplied DJ and live music entertainment for Stirk House’s festive events — something I’m incredibly proud of — and both nights were a huge success.

For both Christmas party nights, I acted as DJ and event host, welcoming guests, setting the tone early doors, managing the flow of the evening and keeping the energy high between live band sets.

5th December – Noughty Nineties Party Band

The 5th December Christmas party night had a clear theme — big, high-energy 90s and 00s dancefloor anthems — and the live band reflected that perfectly.

We welcomed The Noughty Nineties, an outstanding party band specialising in all those iconic club and chart hits that instantly get people moving. Their set included music inspired by the likes of:

• Ultrabeat

• Robin S

• Flo Rida

• Eminem

• And many more 90s & 00s floor-fillers

This set the theme for the entire evening, with my DJ sets before and after keeping the same energy and vibe flowing right through the night. The result? A buzzing dance floor and a proper hands-in-the-air Christmas party atmosphere.

13th December – Boogie Street Party Band

For the 13th December party night, we switched things up with a different live music flavour.

Boogie Street, a fantastic 4-piece party band, took to the stage with an all-round mix of classic disco, funk and party hits through the decades. Their versatility makes them ideal for mixed-age crowds and corporate events, and they went down a storm.

From timeless disco grooves to big sing-along party anthems, Boogie Street delivered exactly what a Christmas party crowd wants — fun, familiarity and energy.

Again, I worked alongside the band as DJ & host, keeping momentum high before and after their live sets and ensuring the night finished on a real high.
