Twilight Wedding Party at Brookdale Golf Club – Mr & Mrs Kershaw

This past Saturday, I had the absolute pleasure of being the wedding DJ & host for Zoe & Sam Kershaw’s beautiful twilight wedding at Brookdale Golf Club, Failsworth, Manchester. From start to finish, it was an incredible celebration full of energy, music, and memories.

Drinks Reception & Hosting Duties

As soon as the bride and groom arrived at 3pm, I was there to provide the soundtrack for their wedding drinks reception. It was a lovely atmosphere to set the scene as guests mingled and raised a glass to the happy couple.

A big moment was introducing Zoe & Sam into the room – they made their entrance to Disclosure – You & Me which was the perfect choice to kick things off.

I also had the honour of hosting the wedding speeches – a really important part of the day. We heard heartfelt words from Zoe’s dad, an emotional and funny speech from their son Rory, followed by Sam himself and, of course, the best man who had everyone laughing, loved the Rick Astley poem!

Wedding Breakfast & Singing Waiters

Through the wedding breakfast, I kept the background music flowing to create the right vibe, but the big surprise came when the singing waiters burst into song! The duo belted out all the party classics, and I coordinated with them to make sure everything ran smoothly. They really lifted the room and had guests up on their feet long before the evening celebrations began.

Evening Reception – Cake Cutting, First Dance & Sax Magic

When it was time for the evening reception, I introduced Zoe & Sam for their cake cutting and then their first dance. They chose the Sam Ryder cover of Set You Free – a beautiful choice – before dropping straight into the original N-Trance classic.

That’s when our female party saxophonist joined me on the dance floor. Her live sax sound added that extra sparkle, giving it the real Ibiza party feel right here in Manchester! Guests absolutely loved it.

From there, we turned the dance floor into a full-on party – mixing 80s anthems, indie favourites and big dance tracks, with the sax weaving in and out of the set. At one point, we even created a special saxy remix of Captivation, a track by one of the guests, Nina, who has recently released it – the crowd went wild!

The atmosphere was made even better with our LED dance floor hire and the fairylit backdrop behind the DJ booth. They really transformed the space and gave the room that magical finishing touch.

It was such a top night celebrating Zoe & Sam’s wedding. From start to finish, the day was packed with music, fun, and unforgettable moments. Huge congratulations again to Mr & Mrs Kershaw – thank you for letting me be part of your special day!
