I had the absolute pleasure of providing my wedding DJ and hosting services at Low Wood Bay in Windermere last night for the fantastic wedding of Katie & Curtis Timms. As many couples already know, Low Wood Bay is one of my favourite wedding venues in the Lake District, and it’s always a joy to be back. Having performed here regularly, I can honestly say the staff are brilliant, and it really is the most stunning setting for a wedding celebration.

For the Timms’ big day, they booked me, Andy B, as their wedding DJ at Low Wood Bay along with my larger lighting set up to really create that wow factor for their evening reception. From start to finish, their party was full of energy, laughter, and a buzzing dance floor that kept going right through until 1am!

A Grand Introduction & First Dance

The evening began at 7pm, with guests gathered around the outskirts of the dance floor as I made a big introduction for the newlyweds. Katie & Curtis were welcomed in style before stepping onto the floor for their first dance. They had chosen a really fun twist – starting with a cover version of “Dancing Queen” by Eliott, which I then seamlessly transitioned into the classic original by ABBA. As soon as the iconic intro hit, I invited all their guests to join them on the dance floor – and from that moment, the party never stopped!

An Unforgettable Wedding Party Playlist

Every couple has their own taste in music, and I always make sure my sets reflect that. Katie & Curtis wanted a real mix, and we delivered just that:

• Wedding classics & party anthems to get everyone singing and dancing

• 80s soft rock favourites that kept the floor bouncing

• A special house music set for Curtis, featuring tracks like Shouse – Love Tonight & Camelphat – Cola

• A surprise liquid drum and bass set, which went down an absolute storm

We finished the night in perfect style with everyone arm in arm singing along to ABBA’s “Thank You for the Music” – a fitting end to an incredible night celebrating this amazing couple.
