22nd March ’14 – My first visit to Belmount Hall in Outgate, Ambleside, Cumbria. Actually, a Grade 2 listed Georgian house which can still host wedding parties despite being a private home!
Blake & Jen Byron hired my wedding DJ services for their big day at Belmount Hall from 7pm till 12am. We were told we’d have to drop the music level down from 11pm due to noise issues with the neighbours, but in fairness, this didn’t really affect the party, we managed to rock it through till midnight!
Their first dance was performed to John Legend ‘Stay with you’, which we got underway pretty much immediately as guests came out of the dining room from the wedding breakfast & speeches.
Thereafter, they had sent me a list of 40 odd songs plus I had requests on the night which kept it buzzing along nicely! Mostly mainstream chart & party hits anyway, which made it easy enough! From 10.30pm till 11pm we had what they called ‘dance/scouse house’ half hour with hits from the likes of Flip n Fill, Alice Deejay, N Trance etc, bit of a 90’s thing going on which worked a treat!
