20th December ’13 – Always a pleasure to be playing at the Langdale Chase Hotel overlooking Windermere. Fab wedding venue with lots of character & on this occasion, it felt very Christmassy(!) with the addition of a 2 storey high Christmas tree in the Baronial Hall where they traditionally hold the ceremony & the evening disco.
Mr & Mrs Murgatroyd had hired my wedding DJ services from 7.30pm till midnight. We had an excellent night! We got formal proceedings underway with their cake cutting followed by their first dance which was performed to an acoustic cover of Drake & Rihanna ‘Take Care’.
Other than that, the bride & groom were fairly relaxed about music choices, they had a few requests which were special songs for them to be played throughout the night & a no Abba or Madonna policy! Apart from those, we just had a big party with over 100 guests!

As midnight approached, we had a very Christmas finale to ‘Fairy tale of new York’ followed by Drake ‘Hold on we’re going home’ for the bride & groom, all the best to Mr & Mrs Murgatroyd!

As a guide, prices start from £295 which covers the first 5 hours playing time (7pm till midnight for example), any additional time is £30 per hour. Price is based on me arriving approx. 1 hour before the start time to set up.
