23rd December ’13 – Pleased to be hired as wedding DJ for Mr & Mrs Jarvis at the Deanwater hotel on Wilmslow road in the Woodford area of Stockport.

They had booked me to play from 7.30pm till 1am in the big function room around the back of the hotel called the Balmoral suite. We got the cake cutting & first dance underway approx. 1 hour into the evening. They performed this to Take That ‘Greatest Day’ & it didn’t take long to get the guests up & dancing too!

Really good fun night had by all! They had asked for a modern mix of popular hits with some Christmas music & a few 80’s classics. On the night, it turned out Jo, the bride, was quite the Indie fan, so played some of my favourites which, in fairness, are often well received at wedding parties.

At midnight, we brought in Christmas Eve with the Pogues! Then partied through till 1am with a big finale to ‘New York New York’ which was to be their honeymoon destination!

After we’d finished, some of the groom’s mates wanted to stitch the happy couple up with ‘Oops upside your head’ which the bride & groom took in good spirit!
