1st September ’13 – Hired as wedding DJ for Mr & Mrs Hopkinson’s big day at the fabulous Mere Golf resort & spa in Knutsford, Cheshire. They were celebrating in the Mere Suite which is the end section of the Mere’s function rooms & had booked me to play from 7pm till midnight.
They had requested ‘Nothing Else Matters’ from Metallica as their first dance to be followed up by ‘livin on a prayer’ & then ‘Billie Jean’ which got everyone involved!
Part way through the first dance, the chief bridesmaid stitched up the bride & groom a little by bringing out a bunch of inflatable guitars to rock with!
After the buffet, we got the main disco going which was a bit of a mix between the groom & his friends who wanted Metal/Rock & the Bride with her friends who wanted more of a chart/RnB flavour! I somehow managed to maintain a balance between the two which kept everyone in the party mood well past midnight! Even as I finished packing up, guests were still having their own sing a long, was looking like the start of a late night!

We provide our discos & entertainment for quite a few weddings & events at the Mere Golf resort. On the 28th September we had our most experienced wedding DJ Ged playing for the wedding party of Mr & Mrs Topliss. As a guide, expect to pay £295 for up to 5 hours playing time (7pm till midnight for example), any additional time which could include a later finish or setting up before the wedding breakfast & playing throughout is £30 per hour.
