6th September ’13 – Pleased to be hired as wedding DJ for Mr & Mrs Fishwick’s big day in Grange Over Sands. The bride’s parents own a farm at Cartmel Fell in Grange Over Sands & had erected a big marquee in a field there for the wedding party. Unfortunately, we had torrential rain that day which nobody wants on their wedding day, but the inside of the marquee looked fabulous & everyone appeared to be in high spirits!

Martin & Sara had booked me to be set & playing music from 3pm which is when guests started arriving at the marquee. They had requested light violin/piano style background music throughout drinks & the wedding breakfast which is no problem.

After the wedding breakfast, we had the speeches which they were very welcome to use my wireless microphone for. Then it was time to take a break with more background music from me before bringing up the level a little for the evening reception.

Their first dance was performed to ‘Sway’ by Bic Runga.

We then got everyone to join in with a selection of chart/party hits. Martin (the groom) had sent over a playlist of 20 or so songs which were made up of a few 80’s, some RnB, chart & a handful of dance tunes.

As a guide, expect to pay £295 for up to 5 hours playing time (for example 7pm till midnight). Any additional time which could include a later finish or setting up to cover the wedding breakfast & even the ceremony is £30 per hour.
