1st August ’13 – First of 2 wedding discos in Cheshire this weekend. Starting at the stylish Belle Epoque in Knutsford for the wedding of Mr & Mrs Buckley.
Quite a relaxed informal evening reception & the good weather plus BBQ in the patio area meant most guests remained outside for most of the evening. So much so, we thought it best to move the pianist out there too. Jane & Hugo Buckley had decided against a first dance, but when they did come downstairs, we managed to get most up dancing!
Then on the 2nd August, I was playing at Mottram Hall, really nice De Vere hotel in Mottram St Andrew, Cheshire. It was the wedding party of Mr & Mrs Fleet.
They picked Paul Weller ‘You do something to me’ as their first dance, then asked me to play Stevie Wonder’s ‘for once in my life’ for guests to join in as a 2nd dance.
Thereafter, they had sent me quite an extensive playlist with quite the slant towards those big indie anthems along with some wedding classics which kept the dance floor full through the night!
We then had a finale leading up to 1am consisting of ‘I am the resurrection’, ‘let it be’ & a big finish with ‘Hey Jude’
