30th May ’13 – Hired as wedding DJ for Mr & Mrs Benwell’s big day in Kirkham. They had a large marquee erected in the grounds of the church which was the Willows RC Church off Ribby Road in Kirkham. A glorious day for it, so after the church service, guests were able to enjoy the drinks reception in the sunshine along with musical entertainment from a string Quartet. Then guests were invited into the marquee for the wedding breakfast. Music was provided by the string quartet with me covering their breaks. After food, we had the speeches & live music from a guitarist who was actually a Paul Simon tribute & a surprise for the groom! Then it was time to get the party started! As well as music from myself, we also had a Beatles tribute band called ‘Imagine the Beatles’ who performed 2 sets throughout the evening.

David, the groom, is very much into his 60’s & 70’s music & had given me a comprehensive list which I ploughed through as best as I good, picking out my favourites of course! Great atmosphere & a huge finale to ‘You’ll never walk alone’, top night! All the best to Mr & Mrs Benwell!
