23rd May ’13 – Was pleased to be involved in the wedding party of Mr & Mrs Paget at Arley Hall & Gardens. This fabulous Cheshire venue hidden away in Northwich really does make a great setting for a wedding!
Hayley, the bride, had booked my wedding disco services along with 12 uplighters for the Olympia Barn which was the setting for the evening reception. As well as my disco, she’d also booked 2 of our fun casino tables which we set in the upstairs area of the barn. Playing times for the casino were 7pm till 9pm which served as a great ice breaker for the start of the evening. 2 hours is our standard hire time, although they can be hired for longer if required. Our popular 2 table combination is blackjack & roulette. Casino table hire also includes croupiers, funny money/gaming chips & a bottle of bubbly for the biggest winner of the night.
After some warm up music, we got the first dance underway which John & Hayley performed to KC & Jojo ‘All my life’.
We also had a Father of the bride/daughter dance to Heartland ‘I loved her first’. After these dances, Hayley had asked me for a selection of current chart favourites which got all the ladies up dancing! Then we mixed it up a little with some Motown & other wedding classics. A little later on they’d asked for a 90’s dance set which proved to be very popular, before wrapping up with a wedding favourite of mine, the Dirty Dancing Mix! All the best to Mr & Mrs Paget!

On this occasion, we also provided 12 uplighters, which you can possibly see in the picture of the first dance. At the bride’s request, these were set to pink & we positioned them in the corners & at either side of 4 stone columns in the barn which worked really well. Uplighters cost £14 each or £120 for the 12, based on me setting them up at the same time as the disco.
Our fun casino hire in Cheshire costs £375 for the 2 tables for 2 hours gaming. This is usually enough for small to medium sized weddings. As a guide, I would suggest 1 table per 30-50 guests. Price is based on the casino staff arriving approx. 1 hour before gaming to set up.
