27th April ’13 – Was hired as wedding DJ for Mr & Mrs Hesk’s big day at Worsley Court House. Located in the heart of Worsley village on the canal bank, the Court House is a 19th century historic building with lots more character than a typical hotel function room, making it ideal for wedding parties! They had booked me from 7pm till 12.30am.
Their first dance was performed to Paloma Faith ‘Never tear us apart’. Hannah (the bride) had sent me a playlist of around 30 songs which they wanted to hear during the evening. No problem, most were fairly mainstream & included the likes of Stevie Wonder, Beatles, Barry White, Michael Jackson, Take That, Jocelyn Brown, Beyonce, Rihanna, Will I am, Killers, Kings of Leon, Pulp, Happy Mondays, Robin S, Ce Ce Peniston etc
We also got the father of the bride up to dance with his daughter to ‘My Girl’.
Cracking night! With a big finish to Oasis ‘Don’t look back in anger’ (bride & groom’s request). Although, I had to play a couple of encores after this as they was no way anyone was leaving the dance floor at that point!
I’ve since had this email from the happy couple –
‘Hi Andy.
I just wanted to say a massive Thank You for Saturday night!! It was a fantastic night and everybody commented on how good you were and how much they enjoyed the music.
Great day and night so we are very happy.
Mr & Mrs Hesk’
