4th May ’13 -Was very pleased to be involved in the wedding celebrations of Mr & Mrs Holliday at Shaw Hill Golf Club in Chorley. Emma (the bride) first got in touch over a year ago, wanting some help with the disco & wedding entertainment. We were pleased to provide the following services/products for their big day;

A harpist to perform for the ceremony & throughout the drinks reception. Harp music is really popular for weddings & really does add a touch of elegance to the occasion. As a bit of peripheral entertainment after the wedding breakfast, they booked 2 casino tables for the conservatory. Our casino table hire is always the surprise hit of wedding parties! Many clients use them to fill the gap after the wedding breakfast & through the first hour of the evening reception, 6.30pm till 8.30pm for example. 2 tables are usually enough for small to medium size wedding parties, blackjack & roulette being the favourite combination. Our casino tables come fully staffed with funny money/vouchers, gaming chips & a bottle of bubbly for the winner on the night. Prices from £350 for both tables.

For the evening reception, they booked my wedding disco plus our black LED dance floor. Dance floor hire is also really popular for weddings, usually the white LED dance floor, but the black starlit floor also looks cool! Dance floor hire prices depend on the size you require. In this case, it’s a 12 ft square which costs £375 for the LED floors or £195 for the chequered dance floors.

We had a fab night! I got quite a few photos but managed to accidentally delete them which I was really annoyed with myself about, but the groom said it was probably just as well as he seemed to remember pulling some dodgy poses for them! They booked me from 7.30pm till midnight. Their first dance was performed to Bon Jovi ‘thank you for loving me’. They also sent me a playlist of around 50 songs which is quite a lot to get in but they were mostly quite mainstream anyway so no problem there. We had a big finale (the bride’s idea, I’m sure!) to a triple play of Take That! Greatest Day, Never Forget & Back for Good. As the dance floor was still full at this stage, I then played them out to a last rendition of their first dance. All the very best to Mr & Mrs Holliday!
