29th April ’13 – Was pleased to be involved in Domino’s Pizza awards event at the ACC Liverpool. This huge complex is home of the BT Convention Centre & the Echo arena. This is the second time we’ve supplied for this 1200 plus guests event.
On this occasion, I pulled the late shift! Providing my mobile disco services up in the foyer(!) from 1am till 3am as the entertainment in the main arena wrapped up! Quite messy but all good fun! played a mix of mostly chart/modern dance hits. Quite a large proportion of guests were Asian & had many requests for Punjabi/Bhangra. Although, I’m not a specialist in this music, I’ve got a large enough selection to play a mini set for them which the English guests appeared to be enjoying too!
The complex staff/security were keen for me to finish promptly at 3am although, I think the guests would have carried on partying all night given half a chance! So, I wrapped it up with a finale to Oasis ‘Champagne Supernova’. Top night!
