7th April ’13 – Always a pleasure to be working on events at The Mere Court hotel in Mere, Knutsford. This particular occasion was a dinner for Mr & Mrs Anderson’s Ruby wedding anniversary. They had booked the Dunkerley Suite at Mere Court, it was the first time I’ve worked in this room, most of the functions I’ve been involved in have been in the Conservatory.
Only 27 guests, so quite an intimate event. John Anderson had booked me as their DJ & host plus a pianist I recommend called Tom to play throughout dinner. There isn’t a piano in the venue, but Tom can come self contained providing his own keyboard & PA. After dinner, I introduced Graham who was the best man at the original wedding party. He gave an entertaining speech before passing on to John. I then invited the happy couple up to perform the anniversary waltz! We then had the main disco. Due to the nature of the event & the numbers involved, it was never going to be a wild party! However, I was pleased to see that guests did get into the spirit & plenty came up for a bit of a dance, not bad considering we didn’t even have a dance floor! We wrapped up at 11.30pm as scheduled, all the very best to Mr & Mrs Anderson!
