6th April ’13 – I was pleased to be hired as wedding DJ for Mr & Mrs Parker’s big day at Samlesbury Hall on the outskirts of Preston. Samlesbury Hall is a fabulous half timbered black and white medieval house built in 1325 as a family home, the Hall is beautifully maintained making it a magnificent location to host the most memorable day of your life!

So, Chris (the groom) booked me to play from 7pm till midnight. Their first dance was to Florence & the Machine ‘You got the love’. We did this straight after the cake cutting at around 8pm. His only musical requirements were not to play ‘Come on Eileen’ (fair enough!), to get in Gangnam Style, Abba & YMCA before 9pm for the younger guests & some 90’s dance later on in the evening. I also had quite a few requests on the night, 80’s were the most popular along with the usual wedding favourites.

Had this email from Chris on the Monday after the party – 

‘Hi Andy,

Just a quick email to say thanks ever so much for Saturday night. Everyone has commented on how great you were and we will definitely be recommending you to others.
