19th April ’13 – Andy B Events were pleased to be involved with Adam & Caroline’s big day at Shrigley Hall in Cheshire. they came to us looking for a wedding DJ plus 2 of our fun casino tables & uplighters to show off this pretty function room, the Tilden suite (originally a church).
Our uplighters cost £14 each. In this case, the client went for 16 of them set to yellow. Uplighters can be set to a colour to match your scheme or to a neutral colour.
Casino tables cost £375 for 2 tables (blackjack & roulette) for 2 hours gaming. 2 tables is usually enough for small to medium sized wedding parties of around 100 guests. Although you can hire additional tables for £175 each. As a guide, I usually suggest 1 table per 30/50 guests. Personally, I’ve found a good time for them is to fill the gap after the wedding breakfast through till the first hour of the evening reception (6.30pm till 8.30pm) but timings are up to yourself. On this occasion, they decided to use them as a bit of peripheral entertainment through the evening (9pm till 11pm). Price is based on the croupiers arriving approx 1 hour before gaming starts to set up & also includes funny money, gaming chips & a bottle of bubbly for the winner.
We supplied our popular wedding DJ Stu who provided disco from 7.30pm till 2am. Prices at Shrigley Hall start from £295 which covers playing times of 7.30pm till midnight, then £30 per hour for any additional time, so £355 till 2am. Although in this case, our client went for Stu’s superior sound & light show which costs an additional £40 but does look impressive! By all accounts, sounds like they had a top night!
