20th April ’13 – Was pleased to be involved with Mr & Mrs Greensmith’s wedding party at Gorton Monastery. Colin (the groom) had come to us to help out with his wedding DJ, dance floor hire & a couple of our fun casino tables as a bit of peripheral entertainment during the early part of the evening, after the wedding breakfast.
DJ Ged is one of my most experienced wedding DJs & is based not to far from the Monastery. He has played there for several weddings & events & has a sound system as appropriate for the size of the venue.
As a guide, expect to pay £275 for one of our experienced wedding DJ’s to play at Gorton Monastery for your big day. This covers standard playing times of 7.30pm till midnight. Any additional time is £25 per hour, this could include an early set up & playing through the wedding breakfast or a later finish.
Our casino tables are really popular for wedding parties. Guests usually hire them for 2 hours from the end of the wedding breakfast through the first hour of the evening. Although, we don’t mind which time slot you prefer. Some clients book them purely for the evening. Prices start from £350 which is for 2 casino tables (blackjack & roulette) playing for 2 hours. Price includes croupiers, funny money, gaming chips & a bottle of bubbly for the winner. Price is based on the croupiers arriving approx 1 hour prior to the start of gaming to set up. Additional tables cost £175 each. As a guide, I would normally suggest 1 table per 30/50 guests.

Seriously, the day was fantastic and Ged was brilliant, don’t think the floor was ever empty and the tables appeared to go down well. Might have inadvertently corrupted my seven year old son….
