16th February ’13 – Hired to provide my wedding disco at Mere Court hotel in Knutsford. I do like the Mere Court, fab little wedding venue set in the heart of Cheshire, Mere Court Hotel was originally built as a wedding present for the Dunkerley family in 1903 and has now been lovingly restored into a fine country house hotel. Standing in 7 acres of gardens and grounds with a private lake in the most desirable part of the Cheshire countryside.
Mr & Mrs Minton were celebrating in the conservatory which is a lovely setting for a wedding. For their first dance, they went with Harry Connick Jr ‘It had to be you’
Towards the end of the first dance, we invited guests to join in & the dance floor soon filled. Apart from a little break for the buffet, we managed to keep the dance floor busy through the rest of the evening. Anna, the bride, had sent me a list of requests some fromher guests & some of their own, around 30 in total which I managed to get through no problem, most were fairly mainstream anyway. Then we had a finale to New York New York! All the best to Mr & Mrs Minton!
