25th/26th January ’13 – Andy B Events were pleased to supply 3 wedding discos throughout the North West this weekend. The first, on Friday night was the wedding party of Mr & Mrs Crossland at the fab Mitton Hall on the outskirts of Whalley, Lancashire. They hired me as their wedding DJ from 7.30pm till 1am.
For their first dance, they chose Al Green ‘Lets Stay together’, then we got everyone up for a 2nd dance before handing over to a friend of the family who played some acoustic guitar through to the buffet.
After the buffet, it was time to get the main disco going. Emma, the bride, had sent me a playlist of around 30 odd tracks, some from their guests & some of their own which also included a few dance hits for later on! Top night, had this email from Emma a couple of days later –

Just wanted to say thanks so much for being the dj for our wedding, everyone had an amazing time even got my dad up dancing twice!! The music was fab!

On the Saturday night, we had 2 wedding discos out in the North West. Ged, my most experienced wedding DJ was playing at Rowton Hall Hotel near Chester. I do like Rowton Hall, really nice wedding venue which we do quite a few discos at. Mr & Mrs Ashton were celebrating their big day there & had booked Ged to provide their wedding disco from 7pm till 12.30am which is the usual finish time there.
I was also playing at the Imperial hotel in Blackpool. This is another of my regular venues. Tonight was only an intimate wedding party with approx 20 guests for Margaret & David Lucas in the Louis room. Unfortunately, the in laws & the outlaws fell out with each other & upset the bride a little, so we held off the first dance until after the buffet which was performed to a version of ‘Baby I’m yours’ by the Artics. I then managed to steer everything back on track & kept the atmosphere going till midnight. All the best to Mr & Mrs Lucas!
