31st December ’12 Provided my disco for the New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner dance at the Imperial hotel in Blackpool. As the hotel’s nominated supplier of discos & entertainment, we also provided a live band for the evening. We have lots of ideas for live music for events throughout the North West. For this occasion, we hired a 3 pc band called Pyramid who cater for the older clientale & as a result are very popular with many hotels in Blackpool.
We had a piper play guests in for dinner. Towards the end of dinner, the band started their first set with some light warm up music, building up with music for dancing towards the end. Then I provided a short disco break before the band came back on for their main party set. This brought us up to 11.45pm & I started the count down towards 2013! After Big Ben & Auld Lang Syne it was time for the disco! We kept it going till 2am.
Top night & I’m pleased to say the hotel booked me for NYE ’13 within a week! We must be doing something right!
