27th November ’12 – Was involved in 2 very different events this week in Blackpool. The first was on Tuesday night at the Hilton hotel on Blackpool sea front. Was hired as mobile DJ for the Institute of Decontamination Sciences annual conference. This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve played for this big event. Every year they have a 3 day conference at the Blackpool Hilton with a formal dinner on the last night. After dinner they have a couple of speakers, then live music, this year from a party band called ‘Classique’, then we finish off with disco. As well as the disco, I also act as an informal host for the entertainment. Another successful night & looking forward to playing for them again next year!

On Friday the 30th, I was hired as mobile DJ at Blackpool Football Club for the 40 year birthday of the Ormerod Trust. (Or it’s Ruby anniversary!). They had booked me to play from 7pm till 2am on this rather special event. We had a few things going on early evening such as heads & tails, buffet style supper, auction, raffle & even a song or 2 from the clients! Then it was disco time, quite a cheesy party set! Everyone joining in to make it a most memorable night!
