3rd November ’12 – Hired as mobile DJ for Nicole’s 40th birthday party at the Imperial Hotel in Blackpool. She decided on a 40’s themed party which suited the Victorian image of the hotel. So most guests turned up in war time fancy dress!

Fortunately, I only played 40’s music for the first half hour as guests arrived! Thereafter, Nicole had sent a bit of aplaylist which went along the lines of:

‘NOTHING by Take That (just don’t like them!). Ones we do like are: Nine to Five – Dolly Parton, You don’t know you’re beautiful – One Direction, When you’re looking like that – Westlife, Holding out for a Hero – Bonnie Tyler, C’est la Vie – B’witched, I’m sexy and I know it – LMFAO, Tonights going to be a good night – Black Eyed Peas, Reach for the Stars – S Club 7, Poker Face – Lady Gaga, Moves like Jagger – Maroon 5

Apart from that, anything goes. I like 80’s 90’s and recent chart stuff, general pop and dance music. Not really a rocker so no heavy metal’!

Great night, also had a few requests on the night. Had this message from Nicole since –

‘Hi Andy,

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for Saturday, you were brilliant and coped really well with my rag taggle band of mates. J The selections of songs were amazing and I won’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone who needs a DJ for the future.
