14th September ’12 – Was hired as wedding DJ for Mr & Mrs Hughes on their big day at Bartle Hall hotel on the outskirts of Preston. Tonight we were in the Windsor suite which is in the main hotel part of Bartle Hall at the front.
The groom, Darren, is in the military & was dressed in his full mess kit which looked very smart! He also had some friends from the military who were also dressed appropriately!
The bride threw her bouquet around 8pm (out in the grounds) then we rounded everyone up for the first dance. After this, I invited everyone to join the bride & groom on the dance floor to get the party started.
Quite a rowdy bunch! Which made for a fun party! Although by 11pm guests were flagging! Around 11.15pm, the bride & groom asked me to announce they were retiring for the evening, so I got everyone to give them a send off! Quite a few of the family guests called it a night at that time too, although some of their friends stayed up partying a little longer, so I kept it going till midnight for them!
