8th August ’12 – Hired as wedding DJ for Mr & Mrs Maloney at Moorside Grange in Higher Disley, Stockport. I haven’t played at the Moorside for 5 or 6 years, quite a decent main function room for a wedding party at this almost country house style hotel in the Peak District. They booked me to play from 6.30pm till midnight. They’d also booked a female singer for the early part of the evening for a little warm up entertainment to get the party started.

Their first dance was performed to the Wannadies ‘You & Me Song’ which I played, then we had a father of the bride/bride dance which the singer sang (My Girl) before performing her 2nd set. Then it was buffet time & after food, the main disco. They had sent me a playlist beforehand which also contained a selection of guest requests, I think they had just about covered every genre! All good fun! Top night on the dance floor too. Finished up with ‘Young’ from Fun which is becoming a popular end of night choice. Had this email from the groom a few days later:

‘Hi Andy,

Me and Emma would just like to thank you for the amazing dj’ing that you did on the night of the wedding. We really appreciated it.
