25th May ’12 – Hired as wedding DJ for Sarah & Leon’s big day at the Punch Bowl Inn, Crosthwaite near Kendal. First time I’ve played at the Punch Bowl Inn, in fact probably the first time I’ve been to Crosthwaite. Fab setting for a wedding party! Beautiful views of the Lyth valley & right next to St Mary’s church. Quite informal but stylish pub/bar feel to it.

The wedding breakfast & speeches had over run so we were a little late getting the evening reception started, not a problem though, it’s all part of the job! Their first dance was performed to Al Green ‘Lets Stay Together’ which is a really popular song for weddings. Sarah had also sent me a play list which consisted mostly of main stream chart & party music that kept the dance floor full all the way through the evening! Had a great night & a big finish to Oasis ‘Champagne Supernova’.
