2nd June ’12 – Was hired as wedding DJ for the evening reception of Mr & Mrs Anson at the Lymm hotel, Warrington. First time I’ve played at this hotel which is part of the Macdonald chain. Nice hotel & area in the Cheshire countryside. Jennifer the bride had booked me to play from 7.30pm till midnight.
Their first dance was performed to Noel Gallagher ‘If I had a Gun’. They had also requested a mix of indie with some older (70’s & 80’s) and some more recent chart/dance/R&B which worked well. Really nice atmosphere!
Her gran & auntie made the best efforts of the night though, dancing to just about everything! So, of course I made quite a fuss over them! We had a finale song (as request by the bride & groom) to ‘Champagne Supernova’ which is a popular song to finish on.
