1st June ’12 – Hired to play at Eaves Hall on the outskirts of Clitheroe. It was the wedding party of Mr & Mrs Jenkins. Heather (the bride) had hired me to play from 7pm till midnight at this fab country house venue on a beautiful sunny day.
Turned into a great night too! Bit of a slow start as guests weren’t in any hurry to make their way inside, but we rounded everyone up for the first dance around 8.30pm ish, after a few songs for guests to join in with we had some live music from the maid of honour who also happens to be a singer! She performed popular covers for guests to dance too. Then it was time for the buffet. After food, we got the main disco going, ended up playing till 12.30am & guests were keen for more! I was offered handsome sums to carry on playing! Unfortunately, we’d reached the venue’s cut off point, so wasn’t able to carry on, looked like quite a few were hanging around for the residents bar to open though!
