12th May ’12 – Hired to provide my wedding disco at the very nice Beeston Manor on the outskirts of Preston. One of my favourite little venues in the area! The wedding breakfast had over run by around 45 minutes, but no problem, we soon caught up, all part of the job!
We got the cake cutting & first dance underway around 8.30pm. They performed this to Des’ree ‘kissing you’ (the love theme from Romeo & Juliet), & then asked for ‘Marry You’ from Bruno Mars as a second dance for guests to join in with which worked well & we had a full floor!
The floor stayed pretty much full then all the way through the night, even through the buffet, great night! Jennifer (the bride) had sent me quite a comprehensive play list mostly mainstream chart & party hits which were easy enough to include in the set, think I got 99% of them in! She had also mentioned which songs they wanted playing to finish off the night, so a built it up into a big finish with Etta James ‘At last’, Shania Twain ‘From this moment on’ & Robbie Williams ‘Angels’.
Wedding discos at Beeston Manor normally run from 7.30pm till midnight. As a guide, expect to pay £225 for this (& all around the Preston area). For more information, email your enquiry to andy@andybevents.co.uk
