26th February ’12 – Was playing at the fab Mitton Hall, Clitheroe on Sunday night. Mr & Mrs Finney had hired me to DJ for their wedding from 7.30pm till 1am. They had also hired my wedding singer friend Paul Guard, to provide 2 sets of live music throughout their big day. Paul, who is a regular favourite at Mitton Hall, sang his first set through the wedding breakfast where he also acts as an informal toastmaster/host. The second set was in the early evening where he began by performing their first dance, ‘Can’t take my eyes off you’ in the style of Andy Williams. He then went on to sing a selection of swingin’ party hits before handing back to me for the rest of the evening. After the buffet was served, it was time to get the main disco party going. I played a selection of mostly modern chart & party floor fillers as a contrast to Paul. We had a big finale around 12.30am with all the groom’s stags getting together to ‘Champagne Supernova’, I did a few Indie follow up’s before saying good night, as some seemed to have got their second wind!
