11th February ’12 – Was hired as wedding DJ for the evening reception of Mr & Mrs McNicholas at the Hard Days Night hotel in Liverpool city centre. This fab 4 star hotel in the heart of Liverpool’s Beatles quarter is housed in magnificent Grade 2 listed buildings adjacent to the infamous Cavern Club. This was my first time DJ’ing at the Hard Days Night Hotel, definitely enjoyed it!
At 7pm guests came into the function suite for the wedding breakfast & speeches along with background piano music. Then it was time to have a quick room turnaround before getting the party started! I introduced the bride & groom to the dance floor for their first dance which was performed to ‘Yellow’ by Coldplay. They wanted this to be followed up by a Beatles medley which worked a treat & got everybody up dancing, from there, the dance floor was full all night, played mostly from the bride & groom’s playlist but with a few requests from guests dancing too. Had a top night! I’d actually only been booked till midnight, but as it had started late & everyone was still up for it, I kept it going till 1am!
