10th February ’12 – Had a last minute disco job come in. I’d only just got home after a couple of days away & was planning on taking it easy when I got a phone call about ten to six, asking if I could DJ for a wedding party in Chorley. The original DJ they booked had broke down (his car had anyway, I didn’t mean he’d been overcome with emotion!). So, Andy B to the rescue! My first time working at the Mill in Croston, Chorley. Somehow, I managed to get there & set up by 7.30pm without the bride & groom even knowing there was a problem! Their first dance was to U2 ‘With or without you’ & they didn’t really have any other specifics just a modern mix, so I kept it mostly chart & party music with a few 90’s dance favourites thrown in. Of course, we did a few of the classics too, to keep the mums & aunts etc happy! Everyone had a top night, the bride & groom couldn’t thank me enough at the end, I’m not even sure they realised I was a replacement as the venue agent had sorted it all out!
