22nd January ’12 – Was hired as DJ for a company party at the Emporium in Clitheroe. James’ Places which owns Eaves Hall, Mitton Hall, the Royal & the Emporium threw a staff party for all workers from their venues in & around Clitheroe. First time I’ve visited the Emporium which is quite the impressive setting. Housed in an old Methodist church, it’s a 3 storey eating, drinking & shopping experience with a Parisian Grand Cafe Style appeal.
We had approx 100 guests which filled out the ground floor quite nicely. I warmed them up by playing some current chart favourites, then after food, we had the awards which I hosted, then it was time to party! & party they did! Most were fairly young, so kept the music modern & lively. The set up isn’t like a function room, so not really a dance floor as such but the area in front of my DJ set up was available for dancing & it was well used throughout the evening! Great cafe/bar style disco & a lot of fun! Must have been the liveliest Sunday night Clitheroe has seen for a while! The staff on duty wanted me to wrap up around 11.45pm which was fine for me, but I think some of the guests would have partied all night given half a chance!
So, if you are looking for an experienced party DJ in the Clitheroe area for your special event, send your enquiry to andy@andybevents.co.uk
As a guide, expect to pay £225 to cover playing times of 7.30pm till midnight, or £250 till 1am.
