Wedding Singer North West

Andy B Events are proud to be associated with the North West’s favourite wedding singer, Mr Paul Guard!

He has turned the wedding breakfast into quite a speciality, MC’ing the daytime as well as performing. I’ve worked with him on countless occasions & he always delivers. Although, more recently, I booked him to provide his daytime package at my nephew’s wedding & as a guest, I got to see him in action first hand & have to say, it was perfect!

Paul can adapt what he does depending you requirements. However, his most popular option by far, is to perform during both the drinks reception/canapés and the wedding breakfast; helping to host/toast-master the day when required as well. It takes away the formalities, breaks the ice, creates a great atmosphere and lets people relax right from the start, especially those doing speeches.

He can then do a third set of party hits in the evening to really get the party started, including the first dance, if required, which makes it extra special rather than just a played track. (This can be acoustic on guitar/Piano, or to track). So, he can take you from the moment your guests arrive after the ceremony right through into the evening up to buffet or later and hand over to your DJ. He will also play music when not singing and have microphones available for the speeches too, to make sure the whole day flows.

I literally cannot thank you enough for such a perfect day/evening. We booked Paul Guard via Andy B Events to entertain throughout our wedding breakfast and it was worth every single penny. Our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to! He totally made our day. Then Andy joined us to DJ for our reception and again it was just perfect! I cannot recommend you enough! Great communication & a first class service. Thank you x

We both can’t thank you enough for you excellent service you provided for our wedding breakfast at Beeston Manor. It was exceptional. You brought the place together and made everyone comfortable with one another with your performance. I still can’t stop smiling back on memories of the day.

If anybody is Thinking of booking this truly amazing performer for their wedding day I 100% recommend. Believe me you will not be disappointed.

Again thanks Paul for making our wedding day that extra bit special. Top guy!!!

The cost for Paul is either £995 which covers 2 sets either through the evening or during the day (plus his MC services). Or £1195 to include a 3rd set of live music (usually early evening if booking the whole package). One of these sets can also include the acoustic guitar

Paul will ensure you have the perfect evening reception. One your guests will talk about long after it’s over! He breathes new life into Swing favourites like ‘Mack the Knife’ and ‘Mr Bojangles’, then keeps people dancing with a fantastic Soul and Motown party set including songs like ‘Sugar Pie Honey Bunch’ and ‘Mustang sally’, to name just a few. I’ll post a more comprehensive set list at the bottom of the page.

Hear Paul guard singing Michael Buble’s rendition of ‘Everything’ here – EVERYTHING-Paul Guard

In his own words:

“I’m not a Sinatra or Buble’ sound-a-like, or really a crooner, (although I’ve been told I am!), I love these songs and for me they are full of energy and thats what I try to show. By the end of the night I’m exhausted! People work hard, pay good money and want to enjoy themselves and so I want to give 100% to every performance”.

See Paul performing live with his big band at Lancashire County Cricket Club on the following You Tube clip –

For evening receptions, it works really well if he performs his first set straight after your first dance. You may even like Paul to perform your first dance live. This first set would be mostly swing & rat pack favourites which guests can dance to or just enjoy the performance. The second set, more soul/motown & party oriented is guaranteed to fill the dance floor & works great after the buffet is over, really getting the party started!

Paul can also perform a 3rd set of live music either during your drinks reception or throughout the wedding breakfast. This is proving more & more popular especially during the wedding breakfast when Paul can also act as toastmaster/host, making sure your very special afternoon runs perfectly smooth.

As well as a fantastic wedding singer, Paul can tailor his performances for other events such as awards nights, dinner dances, company & Christmas balls/parties.

Paul also plays the piano, which is quite a nice option for the afternoon set. He has a wide and varied repertoire, which is soothing, yet full of soul and can be tailored to the client, for favourite songs or themed events.

Dear Paul, Just had to email and tell you how fantastic you were yesterday at Chris and Emma’s wedding. My husband and I went to the night reception , but my daughter went all day long and you were just brilliant! I thought you created a wonderful evening. You made everyone join in and everybody had fun. I have picked up your leaflet. My daughter got married last August and she said that had she known about you, she would have booked you for her wedding. She said that everyone was singing between courses during the wedding breakfast. Sounded great. My son is only 21 but I am keeping all your details tucked away in my kitchen drawer to bring out when he announces his own wedding! I will certainly recommend you family and friends in the future. Thanks again for a fantastic night. Jane Parkinson

Hi Paul, I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you for making our wedding reception on 18th September so fantastic! It was lovely to have everybody up and dancing all night and I especially loved it when you had myself and my bridesmaids up as your backing singers for ‘Mustang Sally’ and the girls v boys sing off!! So many happy memories for us to treasure always! All of our guests have remarked at how wonderful you were and we can’t imagine a better entertainer than you. Thank you once again, and we hope to see you soon at our next party!! With the very best of wishes, Charlotte and Scott.

Hi Paul Just got back home after a brilliant day and would like to thank you again for a great experience. Everybody who we’ve spoken to today and last night has said you made the night and it was really great combination of music and songs you played. The guests were even impressed you got me and sharon up singing and dancing, well at least trying to sing and dance. Thanks again for making a day sharon and myself will never forget. Marie (Sharons mum) said she was talking to you about buying a cd of yourself as a reminder and keep sake of the day? Could you possibly arrange one for her because she would love to listen to it when she’s chilling on her own at night Thanks again Gary and Sharon
