7th July ’12 – Was hired as wedding DJ for Mr & Mrs Oliver celebrating their big day @ The Inn at Whitewell on the outskirts of Clitheroe. Fab night! The wedding breakfast had over run slightly so it was around 8.30pm before we got set up. Rounded everyone up for the first dance almost straight away which they performed to Snow Patrol ‘Chasing cars’. Laura the bride was a dancer with P&O & had taught Chris the groom a few moves which went down a treat! Before long most guests had joined in the dancing.
Straight after the first dance, we had live music from local Ceilidh band ‘Old School’ who did a good job at getting everyone involved in some traditional dancing. Quite a number of guests were Scottish which was the theme of the Ceilidh.
Then we had 2 hours of disco where I played all the dance floor favourites to keep the party atmosphere going through till midnight. Big finale to New York New York which was appropiate as Chris had proposed to Laura whilst in New York. I then did a play out to Runrig ‘Loch Lomond’ which actually kept everyone up on the floor rather than playing them out… oops! So, I finished off with another rendition of Chasing cars to wish Mr & Mrs Oliver all the best!
Sorry for the late email we have been away!
Thanks for doing such a fantastic job at our wedding, it was everything I wanted! A lot of guests have commented on how fab you were!I will be recommending you to others, where are you based?
